University students through contacting with local authority and community leaders to help approach to fishermen, survey to assess their current experiences and vulnerability on changes in climate-related disasters frequency and intensity. The youth group has been documenting a number of human interest stories told by fishermen who have years to do fishing, experiencing the impacts of climate change to their livelihood and life.

Together with basic knowledge and local impacts of disasters and climate change, they compile inputs from local community into a ‘handbook’.
The Handbook is continually updated and adjusted through inputs of fishermen at Sharing Forum on fishing experiences in the context of climate change. Youth then communicate the Handbook among fishermen community.

The ‘Climate Change Coordination Office’ (CCCO) of Da Nang also appreciates this Handbook and its process to communicate climate change issues with fishermen, planning to involve this project into city awareness raising activities.
